Hello! thanks for your blog! it has been really useful on my trip to Madrid. But I have to make some recomendations. The store La Chinata in calle Mayor its far more expensive than other La Chinata that is near Chueca, in Calle Gravina 10. I think it’s the best olive oil store in Madrid. They have a lot of different types of olive oil, some gourmet products and a whole line of cosmetics based on the properties of the olive oil. Great palce!

Sadly we tried to stop by the Fundación Patrimonio Comunal Olivarero store yesterday only to find a sign saying it was permanently closed due to some kind of works in the area (my Spanish wasn’t good enough to understand all the details). Their web store appears to be offline as well. Bummer!

So sorry to hear that! While the website appears to be working on our end, we’ll try to figure out what’s going on with the physical shop and update the post accordingly. Thank you for the heads up!
